Become an Insurance POSP

A POSP Or a Point of Salesperson sells insurance products. You can earn from home by becoming a POSP for several insurance companies and sell their policies to customers.

To be an insurance agent, you don’t require any investment. You just need to be at least 18 years of age and should have completed Class 10. If you meet these requirements, you will also have to complete a 15 hour compulsory training programme, offered by the IRDAI. After this, you will get your license and you can start working.

As a POSP, your income would be based on a commission, thus how much you earn will depend on the number of policies you sell. The more you sell, the higher your income will be.

 

Become a Travel Planner

If you are a housewife and have a love for travelling, you can earn money by becoming a travel planner. You just need to be a computer savy with an Internet connection. You can make travel arrangements and book tickets online too.

As a travel planner, you can work independently or sign up to work with sites like Upwork, AvantStay or Hopper etc.

There is no investment or requirement involved with this job. However, you should be well aware of how to find cheap flights, cheap hotel bookings and other good travel deals given by the hotels or companies to the customers.

Your earning as a travel agent or travel planner depends upon your clients, the company you work for or the types of holidays you deal for.

Start a YouTube Channel

If you have an interest that you want to share with the world, you could consider starting a YouTube channel. You can share any kind of content on YouTube such as your recipes, recipes, cooking, dance or art tutorials etc. For this, you don’t even need to sign up for any special website. All you need is an email address and a YouTube account.

There is no investment involved and you can earn an income through ads. Your earnings will depend on the size of your audience; on average, you can earn between ₹200 to ₹500 for 10000 views per video, and this will increase with the number of views.

Earn by doing Translation

If you know more than one language, then you can earn money as a translator. There is a lot of demand for persons, who can translate documents, voice mails, papers, subtitles and much more. You can get in touch with translation agencies or freelancing portals such as Freelance India, Upwork or Truelancer.

There is not much investment involved and no specific education is generally required. You just need to be proficient in target language.

Most of the time, for translation work, you will be paid per word, which generally ranges from ₹1 to ₹4 per word based on the language. However, you can always earn more if you know a foreign language like French, Russian, Spanish, or Japanese etc and have a certificate of the same.
